While it has been some time since car shopping (and we've made it a point to shop when we 'want', not when we 'need') but I must say our experience at Subaru of Port Richey (FL) (part of the Lokey group) was second to none. After doing my research and speaking with Roy of sales, you could say our real experience started Christmas Eve. With our Son home from FSU our intent (as he thought) was to only to take a test drive, but with it nearing closing time, Mark (the sales manager) offered we take the vehicle till the 26th. A good 3 day test drive later, we returned the vehicle and said thank you. Do understand, this was to be a surprise for our Son, a (pre)graduation gift if you like, as he prepares to continue his Medical education. Days later, negotiating back and forth (we'd be trading his 2013 Cpo MB C-250 P2 Sports coupe [also a gift for his getting early acceptance & in to their Honors Program]), and with each side making some compromise, my wife & I and Mark agreed on the terms ... but with our Son now back at school (Tallahassee is 220 miles north), we'd need to take their vehicle, and come back two days later with our trade, and that too Mark agreed to. Needless to say, our Son was quite surprised. Perhaps a bit wordy, but being in sales myself, I though the full story would be appreciated to show just how much a car dealership's staff can actually care.
